Soccer Game Preview: Greene County vs. Des Moines Christian

The Greene County Rams will face off against the Des Moines Christian Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Greene County comes in on eight and Des Moines Christian on three.

Six must be Greene County's lucky number: they beat Winterset with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Rams put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 6-1 win. Considering Greene County have won four games by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Des Moines Christian kept a clean sheet against Bondurant-Farrar on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bluejays. Des Moines Christian's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Greene County pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matchups. As for Des Moines Christian, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
