Basketball Recap: Lackawanna Trail Takes a Loss

Lackawanna Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Mountain View Eagles, falling 62-24. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while the Eagles are ranked 224th).

Lackawanna Trail's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Mountain View, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lackawanna Trail has already played their next game (against Susquehanna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mountain View will face off against Elk Lake at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Elk Lake will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Mountain View surely won't give up without a fight.
