Bre Bender was dynamite on Friday, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with one or fewer walks. This year, she has an ERA of 6.32 over 31 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Bender and Burke will venture away from home to take on Omaha South on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are 8-2 against the Packers going back to September of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
