For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Dexter and New Mexico Military Institute have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Demons enjoyed a cozy 34-16 win over the Colts. The Demons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colts, too.

Dexter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexis Castro out in front who picked up 110 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Castro's longest reception was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Garet Gonzalez also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Dexter proved: they limited New Mexico Military Institute to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Rigo Regalado for the heroic effort on defense: he. Dexter didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.4.

Dexter's defense didn't let Luke Tomasits, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
