Softball Recap: Flowery Branch Comes Up Short

The Flowery Branch Falcons didn't have quite enough to beat the Dawson County Tigers on Monday and fell 8-6. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Flowery Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Dawson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flowery Branch will venture away from home to square off against Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.27 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Dawson County, they will take on Chestatee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
