Buena Vista gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Salida Spartans, posting a 50-7 win. With the Demons ahead 41-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Leading Buena Vista to victory were Casen Pridemore and Hudson Wingo. Pridemore gained 103 total yards and two touchdowns, while Wingo threw for 114 yards and two TDs. Knox Reid got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Buena Vista was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salida didn't rushed for any rushing yards.

Buena Vista didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Reid and Joe Bearss. Reid got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
