Basketball Game Preview: Bethel Park Black Hawks vs. Peters Township Indians

Bethel Park is 2-8 against Peters Township since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bethel Park Black Hawks will look to defend their home court against the Peters Township Indians at 5:30 p.m. Bethel Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Bethel Park came up short against Baldwin and fell 52-40.

Despite their loss, Bethel Park saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ella Sabatos, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance also gave Sabatos a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Kathryn Boff, who posted nine points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Peters Township had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Red Raiders 63-19. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Peters Township's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Bethel Park, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.
