Woodson and West Potomac are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2022, but not for long. The Cavaliers will take on the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Potomac took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Woodson, who comes in off a win.
If Robinson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Woodson, they should've done a better job of containing Livia Lee. The Cavaliers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rams on Thursday with plenty of help from Lee, who had 12 digs and four aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played.
Woodson walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-12, 25-19.

Woodson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sofie Ferrell out in front who hit 90% for nine kills and eight digs and five aces. The last time Ferrell's hitting percentage was this high was back in October of 2024. Bridget Morgan was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Woodson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They are 5-2 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, West Potomac came up short against West Springfield on Thursday and fell 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 24-26, 25-15.
Woodson's win ended a seven-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for West Potomac, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1.
Woodson might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from West Potomac in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
