Softball Recap: Atlanta Takes a Loss

Atlanta managed to slip by Green City the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets came up short against the Gophers on Monday, falling 14-4.

Atlanta saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiyana Payton, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Lexie Ross, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Atlanta dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlanta will host Higbee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green City, they will challenge Princeton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
