Soccer Recap: Madeira Extends Winning Streak to Three

Finneytown kept up with Madeira until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The MUSTANGS/AMAZONS' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 4-0 shutout. That's two games straight that Madeira have won by exactly four goals.

The win (which was Madeira's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matchups. As for Finneytown, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Madeira wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against La Salle on the 28th. As for Finneytown, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Purcell Marian on the 30th.
