Softball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-5 to the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5-1 record this season.

Fairfield has already played their next match, a 5-4 loss against Solon on the 28th. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Regina on the 27th.
