Soccer Game Preview: Gardena vs. Narbonne

The Gardena Panthers will challenge the Narbonne Gauchos at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gardena has three straight victories, Narbonne has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Gardena's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Carson with a sharp 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Narbonne lost 12-2 to San Pedro on Wednesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Gauchos were already down 9-2.

Alyssa Thomas and Riley Bird scored both of Narbonne's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Narbonne's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Gardena, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2-1.

Everything went Gardena's way against Narbonne in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Gardena made off with a 5-0 win. Will Gardena repeat their success, or does Narbonne have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
