South Tahoe won the last time they faced North Valleys and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings secured a 61-57 W over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyrone Washington, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 16 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jodie Zubiate, who posted ten points and five boards.
South Tahoe has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for North Valleys, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Looking ahead, South Tahoe won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Galena at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Valleys, they will head out to square off against Incline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
