Football Game Preview: Springfield/Comfrey vs. Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's

Springfield/Comfrey will head out to face off against Sleepy Eye/St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Springfield/Comfrey has five straight wins, Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Springfield/Comfrey took their contest with ease, bagging a 54-6 victory over B O L D. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Springfield/Comfrey's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while B O L D is ranked 118th).

Meanwhile, Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's ended up a good deal behind Mayer Lutheran on Friday and lost 29-14.

Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Springfield/Comfrey, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Springfield/Comfrey took their victory against Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 27-6 score. Will Springfield/Comfrey repeat their success, or does Sleepy Eye/St. Mary's has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
