Baseball Recap: Echols County Takes a Loss

Echols County lost against Atkinson County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Konnor DeLoach made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Echols County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Atkinson County, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

While Echols County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
