Basketball Recap: Northgate Piles Up the Points Against Concord

Northgate won the last time they faced Concord and things went their way on Friday too. The Northgate Broncos took their match with ease, bagging a 50-19 victory over the Concord Bears. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Northgate's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddison Sardelich, who posted eight points and 18 rebounds. Sardelich is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Hana Neuman was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Northgate smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Northgate's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northgate will host Berean Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northgate has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Concord, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against College Park at 7:00 p.m. Concord is facing College Park at the right time seeing as College Park is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
