Soccer Game Preview: South San Francisco vs. Capuchino

The South San Francisco Warriors will face off against the Capuchino Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Capuchino will have to contend with a South San Francisco team hungry for a win, something the squad hasn't seen since the ninth. South San Francisco took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Terra Nova on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Capuchino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 7-0 to Carlmont. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1105th, while the Scots are ranked 247th).

Capuchino's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-2. As for South San Francisco, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7-2.

South San Francisco was able to grind out a solid victory over Capuchino in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 2-0. Will South San Francisco repeat their success, or does Capuchino have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
