Volleyball Recap: Seward Bluejays vs. Crete Cardinals

Seward entered their tilt with Crete on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Crete Cardinals by a score of 3-1. The Bluejays have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Seward had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-16.

Kelsey Miller paced Seward's offense, picking up 13 kills. Miller got some help from Kennedy Dominy and her 24 assists. Dominy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Seward has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. As for Crete, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-27.

Seward wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against York on the 30th. Crete does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
