Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill couldn't beat Paulding County on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Panthers came up short against the Patriots, falling 13-5. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Nyla Henson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mariah Walker, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Paulding County, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Looking ahead, Chapel Hill will venture away from home to face off against Westlake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Paulding County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Osborne at 5:30 p.m.
