Softball Recap: McCook Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for McCook's offense. They came up short against the Kearney Catholic Stars on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Bison were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

McCook saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracey Cornelsen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for McCook and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for Kearney Catholic, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Coincidentally, McCook and Kearney Catholic will both be playing Lexington the next time they take the field. The Bison will host the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Stars will head out to face them at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
