Soccer Game Preview: Garey vs. Baldwin Park

The Garey Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Baldwin Park Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garey's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Garey is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Nogales on Thursday. Garey fell just short of Nogales by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, neither Baldwin Park nor Azusa could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Baldwin Park's draw gives them a new season record of 2-9-3. As for Garey, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-2.

Garey beat Baldwin Park by a goal when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garey since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
