Softball Recap: Newman Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Ansgar on Wednesday, Newman Catholic came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Osage Green Devils by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in June.

Newman Catholic's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5-1. As for Osage, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-1.

Newman Catholic has already played their next matchup (against West Fork), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Osage also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against South Hardin.
