Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Chaffee's Winning Streak

Chaffee and Montgomery County squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Chaffee had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5. The Red Devils' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Chaffee's loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Montgomery County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Chaffee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montgomery County, they will challenge South Harrison on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.5, the Bulldogs 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
