Independence came out on top against North Salinas by a score of 57-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Independence.
Independence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isabella Aquino, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Ashjeet Kaur, who scored 17 points.
Independence has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 4-3 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for North Salinas, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will take on Saratoga at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Salinas, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Aptos at 7:00 p.m.
