Baseball Recap: Miller Grove Takes a Loss

Miller Grove lost against Drew Charter last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Miller Grove Wolverines came up short against Drew Charter, falling 30-1. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miller Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raymond Scott, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Scott's first of the season.

Miller Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Drew Charter, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Miller Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against South Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller Grove has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Drew Charter, they will head out to face off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Drew Charter knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Centennial likes a good challenge.
