Baseball Recap: Smith County Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Smith County rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pigeon Forge Tigers, sneaking past 6-5. This was payback for the Owls, who suffered a 9-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Smith County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Pigeon Forge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 26-10.

As of now, neither Smith County nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
