Clovis barely beat Pajaro Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars' defense stepped up to hand the Grizzlies a 3-0 shutout on Friday. Clovis might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Christian Orpinenda and Necalli Elisarraraz scored all three of Clovis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Clovis' victory bumped their record up to 8-0-1. As for Pajaro Valley, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Clovis wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Bullard on the 13th. As for Pajaro Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against San Luis Obispo on the 13th.
