Carson and Narbonne are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Colts will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gauchos at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Carson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Friday, they were much more limited against San Pedro on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to the Pirates. While losing is never fun, Carson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 971st, while San Pedro are ranked 196th).

Meanwhile, Narbonne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Rancho Dominguez.

Grisel Arambula wasn't going to let the Lobos walk away unscathed as she scored both of Narbonne's goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

Carson's loss dropped their record down to 3-17-1. As for Narbonne, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Carson beat Narbonne 2-0 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Do the Colts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gauchos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
