Volleyball Game Preview: Nimitz Vikings vs. Pearce Mustangs + How To Watch

Nimitz hasn't had much luck against Pearce recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Nimitz and Berkner, and Nimitz kept the tradition alive. The Vikings came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-27, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Pearce got the win against MacArthur on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pearce was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-8, 25-8.

Pearce has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. As for Nimitz, their record now sits at 8-13.

Nimitz might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Pearce when the teams last played back in September. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
