Soccer Game Preview: Oskaloosa vs. Albia

The Oskaloosa Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Albia Blue Demons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Oskaloosa's offense. They came up short against Norwalk on Tuesday, falling 10-0. Oskaloosa have struggled against Norwalk recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Albia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 5-1 to Chariton.

Albia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Oskaloosa, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Oskaloosa couldn't quite get it done against Albia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
