Baseball Recap: Kell Takes a Loss

Kell has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.8 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cambridge Bears by a score of 10-8. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 11-0.

Kell dropped their record down to 13-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Cambridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

While Kell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
