Basketball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 59-42 fall against the Bullard Knights. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Patriots came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Knights are ranked 274th).

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Bullard, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Hoover will take on Liberty in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bullard, they will be taking part in a tournament against Immanuel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bullard's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
