Football Game Preview: Southeast of Saline Trojans vs. Russell Broncos + Official Tickets

Southeast of Saline is 6-1 against Russell since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans will challenge the Broncos. One thing working in Southeast of Saline's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Southeast of Saline is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 74-0 victory over Southwestern Heights. Fans of the Trojans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Grady Gebhardt, who rushed for 130 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and one touchdown. He has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Malachi Hopkins made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Southeast of Saline didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Hopkins and Kanyon Douglas, who each picked up one interception apiece. Douglas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Russell earned a 25-14 win over Cimarron on Friday.

Southeast of Saline's record now sits at 9-0. As for Russell, their record is now 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Southeast of Saline against Russell in their previous matchup back in September of 2021, as the squad secured a 71-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
