Recap: Olympian Eagles vs. Hampton Talbots
After flying high against the Helix Highlanders on Wednesday, the Olympian Eagles came back down to earth. Olympian took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hampton on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Olympian still got an impressive performance from Asia Darcuiel, who scored 21 points along with four steals and three blocks. Darcuiel scored a full 42.9% of Olympian's points, the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Alyssa Martin was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 12 rebounds.
Olympian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hampton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Olympian and Crawford will face off on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Crawford will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Hampton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southwest EC on December 29th. Southwest EC will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 975th in California, while Hampton is ranked 422nd in Pennsylvania).
