Volleyball Recap: Unity Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Unity Christian dropped to 24-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-match streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights by a score of 2-1. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Mallory Harrison paced Unity Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Harrison got some help from Sadie Reiterman and her 13 assists. Laila Turner controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Unity Christian since September 18, 2018.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond can attribute much of their success to Morgan Casteel, who had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Casteel has posted over her last six matches.

Meanwhile, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (ranked 194th) will meet Arcola (ranked 690th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
