Softball Recap: Mason City Takes a Loss

Mason City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the Fort Dodge Dodgers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Dodgers this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-1 defeat on Monday.

Mason City's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Fort Dodge, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Mason City has already played their next game (against Spencer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fort Dodge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-1 victory against Lincoln on the 24th.
