Animo South Los Angeles' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for New West Charter, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
Animo South Los Angeles was dealt a bruising 59-26 defeat at the hands of New West Charter in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of New West Charter's Brissia Cruz, who scored 18 points.
