Recap: Moravian Academy Lions vs. Bangor Slaters

The Moravian Academy Lions had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their rough 52-28 loss to Bangor on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Moravian Academy in their matchups with Bangor: they've now lost five in a row.

Bangor can attribute much of their success to Avery Nelson, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 4 assists. The matchup was Nelson's third in a row with at least ten points. Julia Pinter was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.

Moravian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Bangor, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moravian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Salisbury Township at 6:45 p.m. on December 20th. Bangor will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wilson Area at 6:45 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
