Basketball Game Preview: Bennington Badgers vs. Elkhorn North Wolves

Bennington has won 12 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Elkhorn North has won 12 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Badgers will be home for the holidays to greet the Wolves at 2:00 p.m. One thing working in Bennington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Bennington is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Elkhorn: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Badgers blew the Antlers out of the water with a 61-30 final score. Fans of the Badgers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Bennington found their leader in sophomore Macie Reiner, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 20 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reiner has scored all season. Harper Bohaboj was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Bennington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Elkhorn North beat Blair 55-49 on Saturday.

Bennington's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Elkhorn North, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything went Bennington's way against Elkhorn North in their previous meeting last Friday, as Bennington made off with a 68-47 win. Will the Badgers repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
