Recap: Tulare Western Mustangs vs. Lemoore Tigers
Even though the Tulare Western Mustangs have not done well against the Lemoore Tigers recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Tulare Western had just enough and edged Lemoore out 43-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tulare Western.
Tulare Western's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Regina Toscano, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. Toscano has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Machado, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Tulare Western's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Lemoore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Tulare Western and Golden West will face off at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Golden West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Lemoore is on the road again on Saturday and play against Kingsburg at 10:00 a.m. on December 9th.
