Basketball Recap: Granite Hills Eagles vs. Grossmont Foothillers
Granite Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Grossmont Foothillers and fell 57-19. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-9.
Ajak Agoth was Granite Hills' leading scorer, having posted five points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grossmont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arionna Simpson, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. Those 21 points gave Simpson a new career-high. Aakash Price was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Granite Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Grossmont, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.
Granite Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grossmont, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-54 victory against El Capitan on the 14th.
