Clovis had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Carlsbad on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Cavemen/Cavegirls 3-0. Considering Clovis have won five matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Clovis' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six matches. As for Carlsbad, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
