Softball Recap: Douglas County Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Douglas County took on Chapel Hill on Tuesday. The Tigers came up short against the Panthers, falling 24-6. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Douglas County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Chapel Hill, they moved to 5-17 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas County will challenge Rome at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.42 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chapel Hill, they will take on Cass at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
