Baseball Recap: West Hall Comes Up Short

West Hall came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Oconee County Warriors, falling 11-5. The Spartans have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Brett Sturm and Marcus Pugh stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sturm scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Pugh scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

West Hall's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Oconee County, their record now sits at 14-5.

While West Hall had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
