            Softball Recap: Towns County Indians vs. East Hall Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Towns County had lost five straight on the road, but  on Wednesday they dropped down to 5-13 to make it six. They came up short against  the East Hall Vikings, falling  8-0. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, the Indians' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
As for East Hall, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 8-14. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight  runs or more this season.
For East Hall's part,  Aydan Gerrin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Gerrin was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Aniyah Smith, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  double.  Dayana Banks was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Hall beat Towns County by a score of  14-6 later that day.
