Football Recap: Fort Bend Austin Falls to Livingston in First Game of Season

Fort Bend Austin had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. The contest between the Bulldogs and the Livingston Lions didn't end well, with the Bulldogs falling 51-36. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Koen Herrmann, who threw for 253 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 83 yards and one score. Kaleb Dixon was in the mix too, providing Fort Bend Austin with two touchdowns.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Austin will challenge Mayde Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Livingston, they will face off against Needville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
