Football Recap: Newark Memorial Comes Up Short

Newark Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 13-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennedy Titans. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Newark Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Kennedy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newark Memorial will face off against rival Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kennedy is set to square off against their familiar foe Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
