Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johns Creek). They put the hurt on the Gainesville Red Elephants with a sharp 20-1 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Gladiators in their matchups with the Red Elephants: they've now won six in a row.

Johns Creek got a massive performance out of Isla Wells, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Wells has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Huffman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Johns Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Johns Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Gainesville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Johns Creek will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lanier at 6:00 p.m. As for Gainesville, they will square off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
