Softball Game Preview: Hancock Tigers vs. Herculaneum Black Cats

The Hancock Tigers will head out to challenge the Herculaneum Black Cats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hancock has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hancock challenged Affton on Wednesday. The Tigers fell 16-12 to the Cougars. The Tigers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Herculaneum's offense. They came up short against Hillsboro on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

Hancock's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Herculaneum, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything went Hancock's way against Herculaneum in their previous matchup back in September of 2018, as Hancock made off with a 12-0 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Black Cats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
