Football Recap: Savio Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Savio had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 24-0 to Fort Bend Christian Academy. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Fort Bend Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Kole Whiddon, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 122 yards and one TD while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Savio will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Brentwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, they will face off against Cornerstone Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
